A large number of people around us still face the risk of food insecurity everyday. The COVID-19 pandemic has further intensified the challenge of hunger in our country. As a response to this, Narpavi Charitable Trust, a not for profit organisation started in 2021 has been providing daily meals to the less privileged people in Chennai, India.
About Us
Let's do our part in creating a hunger free society!
Narpavi Charitable Trust was started small at home by providing food for 30 people per day during the first Covid lockdown. With time we learned that the need for food is more, and now we are providing meals to almost 200 people daily in Chennai, India. We firmly believe every human deserves a quality nutritious meal three times a day. With the help of our volunteers and donors, We have also started providing groceries, educational sponsorship, medical funds, and funeral/cremation funds.

What we do
With every bit of donation we receive, we provide
Daily meals
We provide nutritious meals to around 200 people in Chennai everyday.
Edu funds
We provide school and college fees to students who fall below the poverty line. Thus, We focus on reducing the dropout rates.
Groceries
We provide monthly groceries for vulnerable families to ensure regular access to enough food.
Medical funds
We provide financial support for people who cannot afford any critical operations/critical illness and help them to buy medicines.

Our volunteers
We are nothing without the constant and invaluable support of our volunteers. Even during the scariest of times, our volunteers masked up and went to the field. Everyday, they collect the food, roam across the streets of Chennai for hours to identify people who are in need of food and deliver it to them. We are grateful for our superheroes.
Our partners
The meals we provide are home cooked with love. We partner with cooks in small businesses based in chennai so that our work financially benefits them too. From hygiene to taste, our volunteers ensure that the meals provided are of good quality.
How will your donations be used?
- The average cost to prepare one meal is ₹60
- We deliver freshly made lunch/dinner with clean water directly to the underprivileged people in the streets of Chennai.
- We provide school fees, semester fees and exam fees to the students in need.
- We also provide groceries and other timely needs such as chappals, umbrellas, and blankets.
